My parents left yesterday. They were here for 10 days! It was great showing them my new world and introducing them to all my new friends! They left loving Ireland and all those they encountered. We toured Dublin on the double-decker tour bus. We went to Belfast for a day and did the tour bus thing up there as well. While on the Shankhill Rd we were pelted with water-balloons which was ironic and a little scary! (click the link to understand why) And then for three days we drove down to County Kerry. It is gorgeous down there! We visited the Rock of Cashel on the way down. We stayed in the great little village of Killarney. We spent a whole day driving around the Dingle Peninsula. That was hilarious…and by hilarious I mean them screaming as I drove on the roads that barely fit my car let alone the one that was coming from the other direction.
Parents are a gift! Being friends with your parents is an even bigger treat! It was fun to watch Dad get up earlier and head into town for three mornings. He was determined to take the train by himself and sit at Starbucks across from Trinity College. My mom took time each night to help me organize my closets, hang mirrors, and buy fans. I wish the distance wasn’t so far, but webcams are the best invention ever!
They went to jail on their 38th Wedding Anniversary!
Gorgeous Scenry on the Peninsula!
I will get some more our photos upload soon!
